As a singer/songwriter, Lane spins a vibrant mix of experience and
artistry into a rich, authentic voice both deeply personal and
archetypal all at once. Lane's roots in folk music reach deep into her
family history and lie at the center of her writing. She weaves a
musical fusion from her diverse background as a session singer, her
classical training and early career as a professional opera singer, her
passion for world music and native drumming, and fascination with
folklore and the bardic traditions that reflect our shared experiences
through story and song. Lane brings the whole of herself to the table,
both lyrically and musically, writing songs that are as simple and
complex as we are; rich in contradiction, celebrating our many facets -
